Kindergarten:
The kindergarten students drew Abraham Lincoln's log cabin using the program Pixie. The learned how to use use shapes within their drawing and place stickers within their picture.
1st Grade:
The 1st graders watched a BrainPop movie on US Symbols and then worked with the Promethean Board and the Activote clickers to vote on the correct answer to questions displayed on the smart board. Each answer displayed a bar graph that the students analyzed.
5th Grade:
Classes are completing character webs on books they have read. They used the program, Inspiration, to display 3 character traits and supporting evidence.

Future Projects:
3rd Grade:
The teachers are planning a big research project on Chicago that will begin after spring break. Stay tuned to hear about further details.
4th Grade:
All 4th grade classes will begin research on Explorers of the New World. An exciting program called Glogster will be used to create an interactive poster online.
4th and 5th Grade ELL Students:
Beginning next week, these students will research the country and culture they are from and create an interactive poster online called Glogster. Video, images, and facts will be included on that poster.

The LMC is a busy place and wonderful projects are being created by our talented students!
