Kindergarten:
The kindergarten classes are creating Lincoln Log Cabins using Pixie. They are learning how to draw pictures using shapes and lines and how to move stickers into their drawings.
1st Grade:
The 1st graders are learning about U.S. Symbols in their classroom. They watched a BrainPop Jr. video on US Symbols and then participated in a Promethean (interactive white board) lesson. They were given clickers and voted on correct answers shown on the white board. A bar graph gave the results of the vote and was discussed with the class.
2nd Grade:
The 2nd grades finished up their China research projects. They viewed their Travel Logs and completed a rubric where they self-evaluated themselves. Stay tuned for their Read to Feed results and what animals they are going to purchase for villages in China!
3rd Grade:
The 3rd grade classes have begun voicethreads on Illinois. They are commenting on pictures that correspond to their learning in the classroom. They make these comments using text, voice recordings, and video. Check the classroom teachers' blogs for links to these voicethreads.
