A few of the 2nd grade classes have used ComicLife to demonstrate their knowledge of the life cycle of a frog. These comics contain text, images, and voice bubbles.
The second grade is now getting ready for their rainforest unit. They will be using the Understanding by Design model to begin their research. Stay tuned for some fantastic research!

- This will be my 14th year of teaching at Ivy Hill Elementary School in Arlington Heights, IL. I taught 9 years in grades 4 and 5 and am currently the LMC Director. I went to Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, Illinois, Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and National-Louis University in Evanston, Illinois. I have a Masters in Education and have completed an English as a Second Language and Library Media endorsement. I am married, have 3 children, and live in Northbrook, Illinois.
